Dr. Damsa Ratified as PDP Candidate for 2027 Sankera House of Representatives Race

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Katsina-Ala, Ukum, and Logo Local Government Areas have overwhelmingly affirmed Dr. Terris Damsa Gmf as the party’s candidate for the 2027 Katsina-Ala, Ukum, and Logo Federal Constituency House of Representatives election. The affirmation took place on Sunday, 17th May 2026, following Dr. Damsa’s earlier adoption as the PDP consensus candidate on Friday, 1st May 2026.

Speaking during the ceremony held at the Federal Constituency Headquarters in Katsina-Ala, the PDP Zonal Chairman for Zone A, Hon. Abraham Waroh, congratulated Dr. Damsa on his emergence and commended party faithful for their massive turnout and continued loyalty, expressing confidence in the PDP’s victory in the 2027 general elections.

The Chairman of the three-man electoral panel, Revd. Apeseza Kehemen, applauded the Sankera PDP family for conducting themselves peacefully and transparently throughout the affirmation process, describing the exercise as orderly, credible, exemplary, and in line with party guidelines and the Electoral Act. In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Damsa gave glory to God for the victory and expressed profound appreciation to the PDP family across Sankera for the confidence reposed in him. He declared that the same God who granted victory at the primaries would also deliver victory to the party at the general election.

Dr. Damsa further commended PDP leaders in Benue State, including Chief Samuel Ortom, Senator Abba Moro, Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Adaji, and Hon. Abraham Waroh, for ensuring a transparent, credible, and inclusive process.

Representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies were present to witness the affirmation exercise.
