PDP governorship candidate Michael Aondoakaa has commended President Bola Tinubu over the establishment of new Army formations in Benue State. He made the remarks during a visit to victims of a recent attack in Guma Local Government Area.
Aondoakaa, who was received by a large gathering of community members, used the occasion to highlight the importance of the federal government’s security interventions in the state. He noted that the deployment of additional military formations was a welcome step toward addressing the persistent insecurity that has affected rural communities and disrupted farming activities.
The visit took place against the backdrop of ongoing security challenges in parts of Benue, including Guma, where residents have continued to grapple with the impact of attacks. Aondoakaa expressed solidarity with the affected families and stressed the need for sustained efforts to restore peace and enable displaced persons to return to their homes and farms.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting measures that would strengthen security across the state while engaging with local stakeholders on the ground.
