SGF Akume Shut Out of Benue Government House by Gov Alia’s Security – Ihomun

Dan-Morgan Ihomun, Head of Administration for the Benue Strategic Alliance for Tinubu 2027, has addressed the political discord between Governor Hyacinth Alia and George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Speaking to News Central TV, Ihomun revealed that prior to the recent APC primaries in Benue, Akume undertook a personal visit to the Benue State Government House to confer with Alia regarding strategies to address the internal crisis afflicting the party. Ihomun stated that Akume’s objective was to facilitate reconciliation among the disparate factions within the Benue APC, thereby forging a pathway for unified collaboration in the run-up to the elections.

Nevertheless, Ihomun claimed that Alia’s security forces denied Akume entry to Government House, thereby preventing him from meeting with the governor. As stated by Ihomun, prior to the primary election, Akume traveled to the government house to discuss strategies for party reconciliation with the Governor, only to be personally rebuffed by Governor Alia.
