Alleged Human Trafficker Identified in Gboko as Vigilante Action Targets Suspected Trafficking Network

A social media user known as Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya has publicly accused a woman identified as Madam Joy of human trafficking, claiming she has been luring young girls from Benue State to Ghana for prostitution.

According to the posts, the suspect recently returned from Ghana, built a house in Gboko, and is allegedly preparing to traffic more girls. The accuser shared photos of the woman, locations in Gboko including a carpenter’s shop where her furniture was reportedly being made, and stated that local efforts were underway to apprehend her.

In a follow-up update, the poster claimed that three girls were discovered in Madam Joy’s house and were being moved for investigation and handover to relevant authorities. He urged residents to report any sightings of the suspect, stating she is originally from Ugba but had moved to Gboko to facilitate further trafficking.
