Group Condemns Attack on NDC Governorship Aspirant Williams Enenche During Benue Primaries

A group within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Benue State has strongly condemned the reported attack on Hon. Williams Enenche amid the ongoing party primaries.

In a statement issued by Idoma Television, the group described the incident as unacceptable and warned against any form of violence associated with political activities.

“We strongly condemn the reported attack on Hon. Williams Enenche and any form of violence associated with political activities. Democracy thrives on the free expression of the will of the people, not intimidation, harassment or physical attacks,” the statement said.

The condemnation comes as political tensions rise in the build-up to the NDC primaries in Benue State. Hon. Enenche, seen in images circulating online with visible injuries, has been a prominent figure in the race.

The group called for peaceful conduct of the primaries and urged all stakeholders to uphold democratic values and ensure the safety of aspirants and supporters.
