Hon. Igbu Job Terhemen, Fiidi Council Ward Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State, has died following an attack by suspected hoodlums.
According to the party, Terhemen was ambushed along the Makurdi-Otukpo road near the NNPC depot. He was tied with ropes, injected with substances suspected to be poisonous, and later abandoned near his residence. He was found semi-conscious and unable to speak before he eventually succumbed to the attack.
The Benue chapter of the NDC has condemned the killing as a “broad-daylight evil” and called on security agencies to investigate the incident thoroughly and bring the perpetrators to justice.
