Benue Government Moves to Expand Wurukum Flyover to Dual Carriageway

The Benue State Government has approved the expansion of the Wurukum Flyover in Makurdi into a dual carriageway at the state’s expense.

Following a request by Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Government graciously granted the approval. The original flyover design was a single-lane structure, but in line with the urban renewal agenda of Governor Alia’s administration, the project is now being upgraded to improve traffic flow, increase road capacity, reduce congestion, and accommodate the growing transportation needs of Makurdi metropolis.
