Benue Links Nigeria Limited has reiterated its commitment to repatriating trafficked Benue indigenes back to their communities at no cost, in full compliance with the directive of Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia.
The General Manager of the company, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa KSM MNIM, made this known while responding to public appeals on social media for free transportation for victims of human trafficking wishing to return home.
According to Comrade Fanafa, the company has been working closely with relevant agencies, including the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies to facilitate the safe return of trafficked persons.
He advised trafficked persons to first approach the appropriate government agencies for proper identification, documentation, and verification. Upon completion of the necessary processes, they can proceed to the nearest Benue Links park for free transportation back to Benue State.
Comrade Fanafa emphasized that the welfare, safety, and dignity of Benue citizens remain a top priority for the company. He noted that under Governor Alia’s leadership, the state government is committed to protecting vulnerable citizens and supporting the reintegration of trafficking victims into society.
