The planned visit of Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council to Otukpo Local Government Area has been postponed indefinitely.
In a press release issued on Monday, October 26, 2026, the Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, Hon. Prince Maxwell Ogiri, FCA, informed the general public, party faithful, political stakeholders and supporters that the visit, earlier scheduled for the same day, could not hold due to unavoidable reasons.
The Chairman expressed regret over any inconvenience the sudden change might cause and appealed to all concerned to remain calm and understanding. He assured residents that a new date for the visit would be announced in due course.
Hon. Ogiri also appreciated the continued support and cooperation of the people of Otukpo Local Government Area and urged everyone to await further information regarding the rescheduled engagement.
