Senior citizen and APC chieftain, Hon. Richard Asema, has praised Governor Hyacinth Alia’s performance in office, stating that it has won the minds of Benue citizens across party lines.

Speaking on Channels Television, Asema described claims questioning the governor’s political standing as false and driven by individuals opposed to the progress of Benue State.
He insisted that Governor Alia remains firmly rooted in the support of the people, citing remarkable achievements recorded within less than three years in office.
“How can you say such a governor who is performing very well is not on the ground and cannot be on the ballot?” Asema asked.
The APC stalwart further alleged that those promoting contrary narratives were motivated by political interests rather than concern for the state’s development. He also defended the conduct of the Benue APC primaries, describing them as in line with party constitution and standard democratic practices.
