Benue PDP Berates Governor Alia’s Administration Over Abandoned Road Projects and Neglect of Public Welfare

The Benue State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly condemned the APC-led administration of Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia over what it described as the shameful and unacceptable slow pace of road construction projects in Makurdi metropolis.

In a statement, the PDP said projects presented as developmental interventions have turned into death traps, subjecting residents to severe hardship, gridlock, economic losses, and health hazards. The party accused the government of abandoning several roads in terrible conditions while showing little urgency or direction in addressing the crisis.

It noted that students have not received bursary allowances since the inception of the administration, while federal interventions like NELFUND have allegedly been mismanaged.
