The Benue State Government has directed all Local Government Council Chairmen and other political leaders across the state to mobilise youth groups and support groups for a crucial meeting with Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia.
The meeting is scheduled to hold at IBB Square, Makurdi, on Tuesday, 8th September 2026, by 9:00 a.m. prompt. All youth groups, support groups and relevant stakeholders across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state are expected to attend in full strength and on time.
Local Government Chairmen, under the leadership of the ALGON Chairman, have been directed to ensure effective mobilisation and full compliance with the directive promptly and without fail. The state government urged all concerned groups and stakeholders to treat the directive with the utmost importance, describing the meeting as one of great significance to the people and the future of the state.
The directive was signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Chief Solomon Iorpev.
