Ortom Describes Alia’s Industrialisation Claims as Sham and Propaganda

Former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has described the industrialisation narrative of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration as a sham, 419 and propaganda.

Speaking in an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm, Ortom said the Benue State Government was producing bread, pure water and taracumis, but insisted the claims of industrialisation amounted to a show. He alleged that shares previously invested by the state in companies including Gilos Beja, Zenith Bank and UBA had been taken and sold, with the proceeds being wasted.

Ortom further stated that the problem with the taracumis project centred on electricity and water, issues he said the current administration had not been able to solve. He maintained that all that was being done amounted to propaganda.
