A leaked message circulating on social media has exposed apparent tensions and disarray within the camp of Chief Sen. Dr. Titus Zam, as internal communications reveal growing frustration over the handling of sensitive information.
In a WhatsApp message addressed to the “Congress for Tyoshin D…” group, Zam issued a strong caution to his allies, lamenting what he described as a lack of discipline in managing information.
“Our experience in the Akume camp is that we don’t know what information to keep under wraps and the one to expose,” Zam wrote. “Everyone wants to bring breaking news and we end up arming our opponents with advance information to use against us. This is not good!”
He further expressed irritation at how a previous post he made was rapidly shared across platforms, leading to unwanted attention and constant calls. “Yesterday, I simply posted- it’s done and you all went out to all platforms with it,” he added, noting that the same individuals who spread the information were now overwhelming him with calls while inadvertently passing strategic details to the “wrong people.”
The message quickly spread beyond the group, sparking reactions online. One prominent commenter, Ahoho Terungwa, mocked the situation, questioning what else Zam expected from a group that “hasn’t celebrated a single victory since Fr. Alia assumed office.”
Terungwa suggested that any minor development is now being treated as a major win by the Akume camp, leading to exaggerated celebrations. “When celebrations become scarce, every small info sounds like a win,” he posted, accompanied by laughing emojis.
The development comes amid ongoing political rivalries in Benue State, with the leaked messages highlighting deep-seated issues of coordination and information management within the Sen. Zam camp. As the screenshots continue to circulate on platforms like Facebook, observers note that the public exposure may further complicate efforts to maintain a united front.
The full extent of the internal panic and its potential impact on upcoming political maneuvers remains to be seen.
