Uta Mourns Boko, Declares Alia Unchallenged in Kwande Ahead of 2027

The Executive Secretary of the Bureau for Mines and Solid Minerals, Hon. Uta Stephen Aondona, has declared that Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has no contender in Kwande Local Government Area ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Hon. Uta made the declaration on Thursday in Mbahar, Nanev, Kwande LGA, during the funeral of Hon. Joseph Hemen Boko, who until his passing served as Leader of the Kwande APC Elders Forum.

He noted that the giant strides recorded by Governor Alia, coupled with the numerous appointments given to Kwande indigenees, deserve appreciation. He stressed that the people of Kwande regard Governor Alia as their sole gubernatorial candidate and are willing and ready to reciprocate the goodwill in 2027.

Hon. Uta also commended the leader of the APC in Kwande, Hon. Prince Moses Ternenge, for his immense support toward the successful burial of Hon. Boko and for consistently championing the progress of Kwande sons and daughters in their various assignments. On the Kwande West House of Assembly election, he urged constituents to rally behind Hon. Mela Aondosoo Ageshi, expressing confidence that the candidate has proven he will deliver the dividends of democracy to his people if entrusted with the mandate.

In his funeral oration, Hon. Uta admonished the bereaved family to put their trust in God, whom he described as the giver and taker of life, and assured them of his continued support at all times.
