Residents of Ugba in Logo Local Government Area turned out in large numbers to demonstrate overwhelming support for Prince Solomon Wombo as their preferred candidate for the Sankera House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections.
According to a viral Facebook post by verified user Òr Turan, the massive gathering saw enthusiastic supporters, including women and youths, holding up their voter cards and other documents in a show of solidarity. The post highlighted that even people from Ugondo reportedly refused to back their own brother, Asom rtd, choosing instead to align with Wombo.
The display of support comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 polls. Supporters described the turnout as “in their millions of numbers,” signaling strong grassroots backing for Prince Solomon Wombo in the constituency.
Photographs shared alongside the post show a large crowd of constituents in a celebratory mood, waving papers and gathering in an open area within the community. Many residents view Wombo as a strong contender capable of representing the Sankera area effectively at the federal level.
While this reflects significant local momentum for Prince Solomon Wombo, the political landscape remains dynamic as other aspirants may also be mobilizing. No official comments from the candidate or opposing parties have been issued regarding the Ugba gathering at the time of this report.
The 2027 elections are still months away, but early demonstrations of support like this in Logo LGA could play a key role in shaping the eventual contest for the Sankera House of Representatives seat.
