A Facebook post by Ukan Kurugh has sparked calls for public assistance after a woman appearing mentally distressed was discovered wandering in the Wurrukum area of Benue State.
According to the message shared on WhatsApp and subsequently posted on Facebook, the woman has been in the vicinity since morning, near LGEA Primary School (Suswam Thank You) off Iorchiya Ayu Road in Wurrukum. Local residents have offered her food and attempted to engage with her, but she has been unable to communicate properly or identify herself.
The concerned individual, identifying himself as Joseph, expressed worry that she may be a missing person whose family is actively searching for her. He appealed to the public to share her photograph widely in hopes that someone might recognize her and facilitate a reunion with her loved ones.
Ukan Kurugh amplified the message on his verified Facebook account, urging followers to help spread awareness. In the post, he added a direct call to action: “IF YOU KNOW HER OR ANY OF HER FAMILY MEMBER, PLEASE COMMENT CHECK HER AT THE SAID LOCATION.”
As of now, no further details about the woman’s identity, age, or physical description beyond the attached images have been released. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement, but community members are encouraged to visit the location or contact local security agencies if they have relevant information.
Anyone with information about the woman is advised to reach out through the original Facebook post or local authorities in the Wurrukum/Makurdi area to help bring her to safety and reunite her with her family.
