A human rights advocate, Ukan P Kurugh, has raised an urgent public appeal following reports of an accident in Makurdi allegedly involving personnel of the Nigerian Navy Training School along Wurukum.
In a social media post on Friday, Kurugh stated that he had received a disturbing report, accompanied by pictures, of an incident in which a tricycle (Keke) conveying passengers sustained multiple bodily injuries said to have been caused by Navy personnel. He described the matter as requiring immediate attention and called on anyone with the direct contact of the Commanding Officer or the appropriate head of the Navy Training School to reach out to him.

He framed the appeal as a matter of accountability, humanity and ensuring that those wounded are not left to suffer.
