A Facebook post by Benue Global Media Gist has identified a man named Paso as the alleged leader of a group of thugs who blocked Peter Obi’s convoy from entering Benue State.
The post claimed that the individual, described as “the guy on black,” led others in obstructing the NDC presidential candidate. It stated that Paso lives at High Level, Makurdi, opposite Exodus Cinema, and alleged that he is linked to the Governor of Benue State.
The post compared two images — one showing the man during the road blockade against Peter Obi and another at a Benue Governor’s rally — and questioned why such individuals were not deployed against terrorists and bandits killing people in the state. It further suggested that the Governor should equip the group in a manner similar to how Sunday Igboho operates in the South West.
The post noted that the Nigeria Police had reported the arrest of about 43 suspects in connection with the incident but said it had not been confirmed whether Paso and members of his group were among those arrested.
