The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Makurdi Branch, has nominated Engr. Peter Terwase Tortiv-Ato, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency, for a Professional Excellence Award.
Engr. Tortiv-Ato is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) and a past Executive Committee member of the NSE Makurdi Branch. He has been recognised for his distinguished contributions to the engineering profession through excellence, leadership, and dedicated service.
In a nomination letter signed by the Branch Chairman, Engr. Fidelis Ukeh, FNSE, the NSE described the honour as recognition of Tortiv-Ato’s outstanding efforts toward the growth and development of engineering in Nigeria.
The award will be conferred on him during the Branch’s 2026 Engineering Week, scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Nnam Hall Complex and Hotel in Makurdi, Benue State. The theme of this year’s conference is “Smart Technology and Sustainable Development through Innovative and Digital Engineering.”
This nomination highlights Tortiv-Ato’s professional achievements in engineering alongside his political engagement.
