Official Vehicle of Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency Member Snatched at Gunpoint in Abuja

The official vehicle of the Honourable Member representing Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency in the National Assembly was snatched at gunpoint by yet-to-be-identified armed men in the Gudu area of Abuja on the evening of May 10, 2026.

According to a statement released by Engr. Bem Adzaagee, Senior Legislative Aide to the Honourable Member, the driver was compelled by the gunmen to surrender the vehicle while it was parked at the car park of a public place in Gudu. The driver had just returned from an errand and was waiting to pick up the Honourable Member, who was attending meetings at the location.

The incident has been described as unfortunate and disturbing. However, the statement noted with gratitude that no one was harmed during the carjacking. Security agencies have been promptly informed and are already on the trail of the criminals.

The Honourable Member has reiterated his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency and remains undistracted by the incident. The statement, e-signed by Engr. Bem Adzaagee on May 11, 2026, called on the public to remain vigilant while commending the swift response of relevant security agencies.
