The family of the late Deborah Porsche has provided an update on the ongoing murder trial of her ex-boyfriend, Lintex Ogale, who is accused of gruesomely killing her in Lagos in September last year.

The first hearing took place today at the Ikeja High Court, presided over by Hon. Justice O. A. Ogala. According to the family, the judge professionally handled the proceedings, and the testimony of the first witness present at the scene on the day of the incident was successfully recorded.

Further testimonies from other eyewitnesses who were in the house when the alleged crime was committed are still expected in subsequent hearings. The case has now been adjourned to May 13, 2026, for continuation. The accused, Lintex Ogale, has been remanded in custody pending the next court date.

In a strongly worded statement, the family, through Dr. Iaff Ijuo Albert, vowed not to rest until justice is served for their sister, who they say left a toxic relationship only to meet her tragic end. They described the act as “wickedness” and expressed determination to see the case through to a just conclusion.

The family has appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to show solidarity by attending the next court sitting on May 13. They believe a massive public presence in court would strengthen the case and send a strong message against gender-based violence.

The statement also appreciated the presiding judge for her genuine interest in the matter and expressed confidence in her ability to deliver justice.

The brutal murder of Deborah Porsche last year sparked widespread outrage, especially as it was linked to a failed romantic relationship. The family continues to push for accountability, urging the public to support their quest for justice in what they describe as a clear case of domestic violence turned fatal.

The case remains a painful reminder of the dangers of toxic relationships and the importance of protecting women from gender-based violence in Nigeria. Court proceedings will resume on May 13, 2026.
