The Executive Chairman of Guma Local Government Council, Hon. Maurice Orwough, has received 30 motorcycles from Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia, to support the operations and activities of the council.
The motorcycles were handed over to the chairman this evening at the premises of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Makurdi.
The gesture fulfils a promise earlier made by Governor Alia during a town hall meeting with stakeholders and residents of the Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency, where he pledged to provide 30 motorcycles each to the two local government areas to strengthen grassroots administration and enhance security.
Receiving the motorcycles, Hon. Orwough expressed appreciation to the governor for the support and his continued commitment to the development of Guma Local Government. He assured that the vehicles would be put to good use.
