Orwough Congratulates Major General Utsaha on New Appointment as Garrison Commander

The Executive Chairman of Guma Local Government Council, Hon. Maurice Orwough, has congratulated Major General Raymond Terungwa Utsaha, an indigene of Guma Local Government Area, on his appointment as the new Defence Garrison Commander.

The Chairman described the appointment as a proud moment for the people of Guma, noting that Major General Utsaha’s elevation is a reflection of his years of distinguished service, professionalism, courage and commitment to the Nigerian Army and the nation.

Hon. Orwough further described the General as a distinguished son of Guma whose achievements in the military continue to bring honour and pride to the local government and Benue State at large. He particularly acknowledged Major General Utsaha’s continued interest in the security of his home local government, including his recent engagement with the council on efforts to strengthen military presence and security infrastructure in Guma and Benue at large.

The Chairman noted that Major General Utsaha’s appointment is not only a personal achievement but also a source of pride to the people of Guma, who are delighted to see one of their own rise to such a distinguished position in the Nigerian Army.
