Concerns Raised Over Removal of Iron Covers on Underpass Water Channels in Wannune

Concerns have been raised over the removal of iron plates covering water channels on an underpass in Wannune, Benue State, with residents describing the act as a destructive setback to ongoing infrastructure efforts.

In a social media post, Baba Atsar Gundu noted that while the state government is working to provide infrastructure, some individuals are actively undermining those efforts by removing the iron covers. He explained that the covers were installed to prevent blockages in the water channels and to serve as a safety measure for careless citizens.
