The management of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has expressed profound appreciation to the people of Benue State for their overwhelming patronage of Zeva Beer and Oyi Bitters during the festive season, describing it as a strong vote of confidence in locally produced brands.
In a press release signed by the Group Managing Director, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha Jr. CFA, the company urged residents to continue embracing a “Benue First” mindset by prioritizing indigenous products irrespective of political affiliations. Drawing inspiration from the Chinese economic model driven by strong local patronage, BIPC emphasized that increased consumption of Benue-made goods directly translates into job creation, better circulation of money within the state, and overall economic reshaping.
The statement reassured consumers that Zeva Beer remains readily available and encouraged them to proudly identify with it as a true product of Benue. It also appealed to farmers across the state to intensify cultivation of white sorghum, cassava, and paddy rice ahead of the coming cropping season to enable the brewery to directly offtake these raw materials, thereby guaranteeing a steady market and supporting local agriculture.
Dr. Asemakaha highlighted ongoing investments under Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s administration, noting that these initiatives are deliberately designed to build an inclusive and sustainable economic future, especially as Benue approaches its 50th anniversary in February. He disclosed that full production at the company’s juice factory is expected to commence in February, while farmland verification and geo-fencing are already underway to ensure transparency and efficiency.
Additionally, BIPC announced plans to soon unveil modalities for individuals interested in becoming distributors of Zeva Beer, with details on the proposed distributorship amount to be communicated in due course.
Concluding on an optimistic note, the management prayed for a prosperous 2026 for all Benue citizens and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to driving investments that create jobs, improve livelihoods, and strengthen the state’s economy for generations to come. This call for sustained local patronage underscores a broader push toward economic self-reliance and pride in homegrown enterprises as Benue strides into the new year.
