62 Students Sponsored for NECO SSCE Exams by Hon. Stephen Uta in Kwande

Sixty-two students at Saa-Ior Community Secondary School in Ada Mbahura, Shangev-Ya, Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State, sat for the NECO Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) courtesy of a sponsorship initiative by Hon. Stephen Uta.

Hon. Uta, the Executive Secretary of the Bureau for Mines and Solid Minerals, extended the support as part of his ongoing scholarship scheme in Kwande. The sponsorship follows his recent payment of school fees for all newly admitted students across various secondary schools in the Shangev-Ya area.

In a statement, Hon. Uta described the gesture as his way of giving back to society and supporting the education sector strides being recorded by Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration. He further pledged to expand the scholarship scheme to other parts of Kwande and beyond.

The initiative has been welcomed locally as a significant boost to educational access for students in the area. The statement was issued by Joseph Kputu, Media Assistant to the Executive Secretary of the Bureau for Mines and Solid Minerals.
