Senator Titus Zam has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Benue North-West Senatorial District primary election following a ruling by the party’s National Appeal Committee in his favour.
According to Senator Zam, he won the June 18 APC senatorial primary with results supported by videos, photographs, and field records. However, he alleged that election materials were diverted, leading to the announcement of fraudulent results in Makurdi. He subsequently petitioned the APC National Appeal Committee with genuine manual and digital records, which confirmed his victory.
Following the committee’s review, Senator Zam has now been officially recognised as the duly elected APC flag bearer for the Benue North-West Senatorial District. He noted that the APC national headquarters is currently completing all necessary procedures to formalize his candidacy with the relevant electoral and security agencies.
In his reaction, Senator Zam expressed gratitude to the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and the people of Benue North-West for ensuring that justice prevailed. He pledged to work for the victory of the APC in Benue State and urged his supporters across the seven local government areas of the senatorial district to remain peaceful, united, and committed to the party.
Senator Zam concluded by thanking God for the positive outcome.
