Taraku Mills has resumed operations as its machines come back to life after decades of abandonment. The facility, estimated to have cost over 70 billion naira, had been left idle by successive governments.
Just a few weeks after a visitation by the Managing Director of the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), Dr. Raymond Asemakaha Jr., carried out on the directives of Benue State Governor Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, the factory has begun resuming production.
The development has been welcomed as a significant step toward revitalising the long-dormant industrial plant in the state.
