Work has commenced on the construction of a five-kilometre road in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State. The project begins at U2, inward from Kerchen Families, and runs through Annune Market Square to Ijorimenger in Wannune.
The Executive Chairman of Tarka LGC, Hon. Yenge Raphael Aondoaseer, visited the project site on Thursday, October 8, 2026, alongside the contractor, Engr. Nabil El-Nassar of TR. ACTA NIG. LTD., to conduct final measurements and oversee the start of the work.
The road is expected to improve transportation and movement within the area while enhancing access to Annune Market Square, Ijorimenger and adjoining communities.
