Lolo Anthonia Agbasi Brings Hope and Smiles to BSUTH Patients

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, a wave of joy swept through the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) as philanthropist and CEO of Chicadef Nigeria Limited, Lolo Anthonia Agbasi, extended her generosity to patients in need. Accompanied by her husband, Chief Mathew Agbasi, their children, staff, and members of the Dan Jose Care Foundation, Lolo Agbasi donated a cheque of 1.5 million naira to offset medical bills for indigent patients who had received treatment at the hospital.

In a heartfelt gesture, she also presented cartons of sachet milk, beverages, diapers, and detergents to patients across various wards, aiming to support their recovery and ease their hospital stay. Explaining her motivation, Lolo Agbasi described the act as a heartfelt expression of gratitude to God for His mercies and a way to give back to society. She encouraged others to support the sick and needy as a moral duty.

The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, praised her compassion, likening her to Mother Teresa of Calcutta for her selfless humanitarian service. He highlighted the act as a true display of empathy for the less privileged. Dr. Hwande later led the philanthropist and her team on a tour of the VIP Smart Clinic and the BSUTH Therapeutic Centre for Children with Special Needs, allowing them to witness ongoing patient care efforts firsthand.
