A vehicle reportedly conveying a one-star Nigerian Air Force official was involved in a road traffic accident at about 12:08 p.m. on Monday, 3 August 2026, near Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, First Campus, Makurdi.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred when the official vehicle collided with a commercial motorcycle (okada) carrying two passengers. Witnesses alleged that the motorcycle emerged from the wrong direction, while some also claimed the official vehicle was travelling at high speed before the collision.
The impact was severe, leaving both the official vehicle and the motorcycle badly damaged. The vehicle sustained significant damage to its front and rear sections, while the motorcycle was extensively damaged.
The rider and the two passengers reportedly sustained serious injuries and were rushed for medical attention. Their current condition has not been officially confirmed.
