A new Primary Healthcare Centre has been completed and opened to residents in Ameka community, Obi Local Government Area of Benue State.
The facility, which features a spacious single-storey building with a vibrant blue roof and complementary paintwork, was highlighted in a recent social media post by Tersoo Kula, who expressed delight at the development. Photos shared alongside the post show the well-constructed centre equipped with multiple entrances, solar panels on the roof, and surrounding grounds, alongside an official signboard from the Benue State Government.
The sign confirms the centre’s status as a comprehensive health care facility under the Obi LGA and Benue State Primary Health Care Board, promising 24-hour services to the local population. The project is being celebrated as part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare access in the area, with many attributing the progress to the current administration’s initiatives.
Locals have welcomed the development, viewing it as a significant boost to primary healthcare delivery in Obi LGA. The facility is expected to provide essential medical services to surrounding communities, reducing the burden on distant hospitals and improving health outcomes for residents.
This latest addition to Benue State’s healthcare infrastructure comes as a positive highlight amid various challenges facing the region, demonstrating tangible steps toward better public service delivery in rural areas. Residents are hopeful that more such projects will follow to strengthen the state’s health sector.
