Fresh allegations have surfaced against Bishop Roy Abenga, a popular social media cleric and former Benue governorship aspirant, as activist Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya calls for him to refund money allegedly collected from a woman.
In a detailed post on Facebook, Yaaya claimed that the lady in question lent Bishop Abenga the sum of ₦200,000 and has provided transaction evidence running into several pages. According to the activist, the Bishop allegedly collected various smaller amounts from the woman, including ₦500, ₦1,000, ₦2,000, ₦5,000, and ₦20,000 on multiple occasions, under the pretext that his mother was sick and needed medical attention.
Yaaya described the situation as a possible “relationship scam” or “love scam,” urging Bishop Abenga to make a swift refund to avoid further escalation. He appealed to the cleric to “defend himself” and warned that legal processes could be initiated if the matter is not resolved.
The latest claims follow an earlier viral video by Judith Erdoo Auva, in which she alleged manipulation in a past relationship with the Bishop and cautioned young women.
As of the time of this report, Bishop Roy Abenga has not issued any public response to the latest allegations. The matter continues to generate heated discussions on social media platforms.
