Activist Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya Advises Governor Alia on Political Strategy

Prominent Benue activist and social commentator, Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya, has offered frank advice to Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia on current political dynamics in the state.

In a detailed Facebook post, Yaaya urged the Governor to surround himself with individuals who possess strong political followership, experience, numerical strength, and effective strategies. He cited figures such as Suswam and Jime as examples of politicians with such attributes.

The activist warned that the Governor should not underestimate the Bokoti political camp, which he said is planning a potential counterattack aimed at removing him from office. He further cautioned against ignoring the gradual resurgence of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

While making these observations, Yaaya clarified that he does not wish to get deeply involved in Benue politics, stating his focus remains on creating awareness about human trafficking and combating traffickers in the state. He, however, declared his willingness to accept support and donations from people of all political affiliations for this cause.

The post, addressed respectfully to Governor Alia as “my elder brother from Zone A,” has generated discussions among political observers in Benue State.
