A desperate call for help is currently circulating in Benue State communities following a life-threatening snake bite incident.
According to a post shared by Phil Tor Ortese on the BENUE-FAMILY Facebook page, a young man from Gwerwest Local Government Area was beaten by a snake while on his way to Makurdi on a motorcycle for a mediation matter. He was reportedly attacked by Fulani Militia along the way, and both his bike and the person who was riding with him from behind are currently missing. However, the most pressing concern right now is saving the young man’s life.
The victim is in urgent need of a specific drug prescribed by the doctor, Architab Anti Snake Venom. The post emphasizes that the medication must be gotten and administered between today (25th April, 2026) and tomorrow without fail.
Anyone with information on where this anti-snake venom drug can be obtained is urged to contact the number 08166977264 immediately.
The appeal has been tagged “SAVE A LIFE (25th April, 2026)” and described as very urgent. Community members are being asked to treat the matter with the seriousness it deserves and help spread the word so the required drug can reach the victim in time.
Incidents like this highlight the dangers many face on the roads in parts of Benue State, as well as the challenges of accessing timely medical intervention, especially for snake bites which require specific anti-venom treatment.
Our thoughts are with the young man and his family at this critical moment. May he receive the help he needs and make a full recovery.
