Over 10 Killed as Armed Fulani Militia Invade Ankpali Community in Apa LGA, Benue State

Another deadly attack has been recorded in Ankpali community, Apa Local Government Area of Benue State, as armed Fulani militia invaded the area last night on 12th April, 2026, leaving over 10 innocent residents dead, while several others are still unaccounted for as search efforts continue.

The attack has once again thrown the community into deep fear and panic, forcing many families to flee their homes in search of safety.

Residents of the community describe the situation as heartbreaking and unbearable, as insecurity continues to take a heavy toll on rural communities in Benue State.

This unfortunate incident adds to the growing wave of deadly attacks in parts of Benue State amid concerns over the response of the state Governor Hon. Chief Hyacinth Alia, as many affected residents express frustration over the continued killings and perceived lack of adequate intervention from the Governor.
