Residents of Tse Ankorakpe village and surrounding communities in Nyiev Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, have been thrown into panic following reports that armed Fulani herders were sighted in the area on Sunday.

According to a Facebook alert posted by Tivta Samuel Aondohemba, timber contractors working in the area reportedly encountered a group of armed men moving suspiciously without any cattle. The herders were said to be advancing quietly and strategically before they were eventually sighted from a distance.
