NURTW High Level Branch Accused of Aiding Human Trafficking in Benue State

Serious allegations have emerged linking the NURTW High Level Branch in Makurdi to the promotion of human trafficking activities in Benue State.

According to Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya, a trafficker and her victim were apprehended at the High Level garage this afternoon. The suspect, a lady, was reportedly moving minors from an IDP camp.

Yaaya stated that he promptly alerted the Benue State Police Command in Makurdi to take necessary action. However, upon arrival, he was informed that the park chairman had released both the suspect and the victim without conducting a proper investigation or handing them over to security agencies.

In a strongly worded statement, Yaaya expressed his intention to submit a formal petition against the park chairman tomorrow. He called on the public to be aware of individuals allegedly supporting human trafficking in the state and demanded that the garage Chairman produce the suspect and victim for investigation.
