Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benue State has appointed Dr. Ihu Eunice Ogbenyi as the Acting Head of Service (HoS) of the state.
The appointment follows the unfortunate passing of the former Head of Service, Dr. Agbogbo Ode.
Dr. Ogbenyi, who hails from Oju Local Government Area, was previously serving as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands and Survey before her elevation to the apex bureaucratic position.
The development was announced on social media on Wednesday, with many describing it as a significant appointment within the state’s civil service structure. As Acting Head of Service, Dr. Ogbenyi is expected to provide leadership and stability in the state’s bureaucracy at this time.
