The Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi has dismissed the appeal filed by the Benjamin Omale-led faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, affirming the judgment of the Benue State High Court that recognized the Hon. Dr. Austin Agada-led Executive Committee as the authentic State Working Committee of the party.
The appellate court upheld the earlier decision of the High Court, effectively ending the prolonged legal battle mounted by the Omale-led executive against Agada’s leadership. The ruling consolidates control of the Benue APC structure under Austin Agada.
The decision is seen as a major victory for the Agada faction and is expected to significantly influence the dynamics within the Benue State chapter of the APC as the party navigates its internal challenges.
