Charles Kuhwa Resumes Work as Principal Special Assistant to Benue Governor on ACREsAL

Hon. Charles Iorwuese Kuhwa has officially resumed duties as the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on the Benue Agro Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project.

The appointment was made by the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia. ACREsAL is a World Bank-funded initiative implemented in partnership with the Benue State Government, with significant expected impact in the agricultural, environmental, and water sectors.

Announcing the development, Aho ho Terungwa noted that Hon. Charles Kuhwa brings valuable expertise to the role. He studied Geography at the University of Abuja and has demonstrated a strong commitment to integrating geographic science, environmental data systems, and policy analysis to tackle complex environmental and governance challenges.

His work focuses on advancing climate resilience strategies and promoting sustainable development practices. Prior to this appointment, Charles Kuhwa served as Executive Assistant to the Chief Resilience Officer (CRO) of Lagos State, Arc. Simon Gusah, who held the position from 2018 to 2019.

The new PSA is described as a dedicated professional with practical experience in climate and environmental matters, making him well-suited to drive the objectives of the ACREsAL project in Benue State.

Charles Kuhwa is happily married. His resumption is expected to strengthen the state’s efforts toward building resilience in semi-arid landscapes and enhancing sustainable agricultural practices across Benue.
