Activist Vows to Drag Turan/Ikyurav-ya Assembly Member Hon. Matu to EFCC and ICPC

A prominent social commentator, Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya, has threatened to petition the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) against Hon. Samuel Matu, the Member representing Turan/Ikyurav-ya in the Benue State House of Assembly.

In a strongly worded Facebook post, Yaaya demanded that Hon. Matu give a proper account of how he spent constituency project funds and other benefits during his time in office. He described the lawmaker’s empowerment programme  which included exercise books in bags and sewing machines as his “first ever” initiative.
