A group of individuals, reportedly the same persons earlier involved in blocking Mr. Peter Obi’s entry into Benue State, were on Friday seen leading efforts to disrupt the entry of opposition politicians into the funeral venue of a traditional ruler in Vandikya Local Government Area of Benue State.
The disruption particularly targeted the PDP Zone A Senatorial Candidate, Thomas Tyolumun Unongo, and other opposition members seeking to enter the funeral ground. The situation reportedly created tension at the venue until the intervention of the Ter Ukuna, who addressed the group and called for an end to the chaos.
Following the Ter Ukuna’s intervention, members of the opposition were eventually allowed to enter the funeral ground.
