The Executive Chairman of Obi Local Government Council in Benue State, Hon. Chief Silas Odeh Ahunye, has donated and officially provided a campaign office for the Kinyamimi Alia/Sam Ode 2027 Support Group in the area. The move forms part of early grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ekpe Emmanuel, the initiative is aimed at strengthening coordination and engagement among supporters across Obi Local Government Area. Ahunye, who serves as the Convener of the movement, is actively championing continuity for Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia and Deputy Governor Sam Ode.
The statement disclosed that more than 1,000 members have already been mobilised into the support group within Obi LGA. Beyond providing the office space, the Chairman has also facilitated the supply of T-shirts and other mobilisation materials to boost the group’s visibility and activities across the various wards.
The newly established office is expected to function as a central hub for coordination, mobilisation and engagement as political activities intensify towards 2027. The support movement, known as “Kinyamimi,” is described as representing continuity and the sustained pursuit of the good governance agenda associated with the Alia administration.
The message of the group is clear: “CONTINUITY OF GOOD GOVERNANCE. CONTINUITY OF DEVELOPMENT. CONTINUITY WITH ALIA.” The initiative reflects growing political organisation around the proposed Alia/Sam Ode continuity agenda at the grassroots level in Obi Local Government.
