The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, paid a visit to the Benue State APC Secretariat where he met with the State Chairman, Hon. Benjamin Omale.
During the visit, the Minister urged party members to ensure peaceful conduct of the forthcoming APC primaries for the House of Representatives seats across the state.
Prof. Utsev emphasized the need for unity and decorum as the party prepares to select its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Photographs from the meeting show the Minister addressing journalists, shaking hands with the State Chairman, and interacting with other party leaders and supporters. He was also seen in a warm reception both indoors and during outdoor engagements with party faithful.
The high-profile visit comes at a time when political activities and tensions are rising within the APC in Benue State, particularly around various federal constituency primaries.
Party stakeholders believe the Minister’s call for peace will help reduce intra-party conflicts and promote a more orderly nomination process.
No further details were released on specific agreements reached during the closed-door meeting.
