The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gboko Local Government Area has fired back at claims that Rev. Fr. David Terzugwe Golozo has been adopted as the consensus candidate for Gboko West (Gbemacha) State Constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a strongly worded disclaimer issued on April 22, 2026, the party’s LGA chairman, Hon. Terfa Iorgilim, described the circulating publication as “false, misleading, and entirely unauthorised.”
According to the party, no such consensus emerged through any recognized ward structures, stakeholder meetings, or the State Working Committee.
“At no time has the APC in Gboko LGA… adopted or endorsed any individual as a consensus candidate,” the statement reads, adding that the claim is a “reckless act of political mischief” aimed at creating confusion and undermining internal democracy.
The party has directed those behind the misinformation to immediately retract their claims, warning that disciplinary measures will be taken against any member found responsible.
For now, the APC insists that Gboko West has no consensus candidate. Supporters and the public have been urged to ignore the “baseless publication” and wait for official communication on the party’s candidate selection process.
