Mrs. Aondoakaa Meets Benue South Women, Seeks Support for Husband’s 2027 Governorship Bid

Wife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2027 Benue State election, Mrs. Patience Aondoakaa, on Wednesday 22nd July 2026 met with PDP Local Government Women Leaders and various women groups across Benue South Senatorial District in Otukpo and Otukpa to mobilize support for the aspiration of her husband, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN.

Addressing the gatherings, Mrs. Aondoakaa described herself as a proud daughter of Idoma land who had come to speak with her mothers and sisters. She appealed to them to support their son-in-law in the 2027 governorship election, stating that Chief Aondoakaa possesses the experience, competence, and vision needed to restore peace, stimulate economic growth, and deliver meaningful development across all parts of Benue State. She urged the women to take the campaign to their communities and encourage eligible voters to support the PDP in the forthcoming elections.

In their separate remarks, the PDP State Women Leader, Hon. Mrs. Alice Ene Albert; former Chairman of Okpokwu Local Government, Hon. Mrs. Amina Audu; the wife of the former Deputy Governor of Benue State, Chief Mrs. Lawani; the PDP North Central Zonal Women Leader, Hon. Mrs. E. Owakoyi; her biological mother; and other speakers unanimously called on women across Benue South to throw their weight behind Chief Aondoakaa’s governorship bid.

They expressed confidence that his administration would provide inclusive leadership, promote development, and address the security and economic challenges facing the state.
