A Facebook post by Korinjo Joel Iyua has drawn attention after alleging that a young woman was raped yesterday inside a police officer’s room at a police camp. The post named the officer as Orseer and stated that the incident occurred in one of the rooms at the camp where the poster is based.
Accompanying the post were photographs showing a young woman receiving medical care in what appears to be a hospital setting, with an intravenous drip visible. Iyua tagged several individuals and groups, including TUDA, Turan Concern Elite, Turan Special Youths, Uja Commander Yaav, Dickson Akaatyoo (also known as Nor na Tyo), Zaki Baver, Simon Msuega Abeebe and Iorger Zuave, urging them to take action.
The post has circulated among local networks, with the author stressing that something needs to be done in response to the alleged incident. As of the time of the post, no official statement from the police or confirmation of an investigation had been publicly linked to the claim.
Allegations of this nature are serious and, if verified, would constitute a grave breach of trust and the law. Members of the public and advocacy groups have been called upon to ensure the matter is properly examined by the appropriate authorities.
