The Executive Chairman of the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Grace Adagba, has joined the global community in celebrating women on International Women’s Day, praising their immense strength, resilience, and transformative role in society.
In a goodwill message released on March 8, 2026, Dr. Adagba described women as “the first teachers and silent architects of character whose influence continues to shape homes, classrooms, and communities.” She highlighted their enduring contributions as a driving force that moves societies forward.
Reflecting on this year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” the SUBEB chief emphasized that investing in the education of the girl-child remains one of the most powerful ways to build stronger communities and secure a brighter future. She reaffirmed the Board’s unwavering commitment to ensuring every girl in Benue State has the opportunity to learn, dream, and grow into a confident leader.
Dr. Adagba commended women across Benue and beyond for their sacrifices and dedication, noting that their resilience continues to inspire progress at all levels of society. She stressed that prioritizing girl-child education aligns with SUBEB’s broader mission to promote inclusive, equitable, and quality basic education for all children in the state.
The message, signed by Msughter John Ataigbough, Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman on Corporate Communications and Community Engagements, underscores SUBEB’s ongoing focus on gender equity and empowerment through education as key pillars for sustainable development in Benue.
